Success Stories

CAROLYN WIJTENBURG dropped science in Grade 10 as she was convinced she would never need it in her future career. Several years after matriculating she decided to study homeopathy. Unfortunately in order to gain admission she had to have science as one of her matric subjects. She enquired at several colleges only to be told that she would have to go back to school and repeat Grade 10, 11 and 12 all over again. Three more years at school was not what she had in mind and so she approached MATHS SUCCESS for help to shorten the period. A programme was worked out to complete the Grade 10, 11 and 12 syllabuses in ONE YEAR. It was a year Carolyn will not quickly forget. She studied very, very hard and with the constant help and guidance that she received at MATHS SUCCESS she was achieved the almost impossible: not only did she complete Grade 10, 11 and 12 in one year but she achieved it with a DISCTINCTION.

JANE SCHNEIDER started her lessons at MATHS SUCCESS in Grade 9. At the end of Grade 8 she obtained 38% in her final maths exams and was in danger of having to drop maths at the end of Grade 9. In Grade 11 and 12 she went to a boarding school in KwaZulu-Natal but she attended maths lessons at MATHS SUCCESS during her school holidays and this ensured that she finished with a distinction in matric.

LAURA WHITE started her lessons at MATHS SUCCESS in October of her Grade 11 year. She was failing maths on higher grade and as a result was advised by her school do drop to standard grade. On several occasions during her matric year she was told that it would be better to write her matric maths exam on standard grade. Following our initial assessment it was apparent that Laura had the potential to stay on higher grade and therefore MATHS SUCCESS actively encouraged her not to drop to standard grade. Her efforts were richly rewarded in matric when she obtained a C on higher grade.
